Before booking tickets i wished to watch Paan Singh Tomar but my friends said Kahaani Kahaani !! i said ok n went ahead...but believe me..it was tooooo gooooodddddddd....i never expected or imagined this movie would have such a brilliant storyline...such smart camera work and background score...and strong performance by all its actors..Vidya Balan - you have become my fav now...Kat might be beautiful than others, Kareena might be rocking and have that wow factor...but you are that someone which bollywood needs desperately for its survival !!
I am sure by now most of us would have seen the movie and we all know how grippy dis one is..it keeps you engaged and on hook throughout the movie...with the way and manner things happen in the movie, by the time we near the end all of us would have surely come up with our endings as in who her husband will be, what would have happened, etc..what i mean to say is you would have thought that you had solved and deciphered the mystery and considered urself the Sherlock Holmes and thats the moment when you exclamate and say...wait a minute what is happening here , oh my god...i never thought this would happen man...kya suspense tha...and that five minutes is where this movie clicks with the audience...
All the co-actors justified their roles and Mr Khana, am sure girls would have gone gaga over him...his speech delivery and acting was so innocent, cute and calm, everyone would have loved him and i am sure he will have a great future ahead...
What I personally like about this movie is the way it has shown Kolkatta and the way it has romanced with its culture and Kolkatta itself..camera work is brilliant..what is also narrowly shown is the current Indian political scenario and takes a dig at it..there is a problem in the system itself..
I giving you the storyline would not do any justice to the movie..if you go without any idea about its story then its surely an enjoyable and thrilling experience for you...
In the end though, the lines in which she explains to colonel about her feeling of being pregnant and belief that her husband is still with her is very touchy and emotional...you turn to your partner and look in her eyes...you will find tears
Vidya Balan has been called as the new Aamir Khan in media very recently...but i would say both are definitely different and the way they carry themselves is different and there is no point in comparing them together..
In an industry riding on larger than life super star heroes, Vidya Balan stands tall with her women centric movies that deliver both commendable performance and meaningful content.
Kahaani is a film that I would just urge you to watch. You want to watch it for the story, you want to watch it for the character B(V)idya, you want to watch it for the actor Vidya Balan
I say its a 5 out of 5 !!
