No One Killed Jessica - review

I went into this movie having half knowledge about the jessica lal murder case....but after watching d movie i will claim it to b a real eye opener for the common man !! it shows hw strong d politicians are and wat all de can do to keep demselves in d 'khurchi' and save d ass of der children frm watever criminal acts de commit !! the instances in d movie took me back to one of my friends speech on power and poilitics and found out hw true he was !! but if we people do stand united and fight against dis devils den justice will be served !!

movie starts off really well and straight to d point...the incidents hv been  properly covered and properly sequenced...1st half is real catchy but in 2nd half d movie drags a bit but u do get emotional towards d climax...strong performances frm both vidya balan and rani mukherjee...seeing rani after a long time on d large screen but she didnt disappoint...d linkup to d rang de basanti scene was brilliant !!

It's interesting how the narrative ties the crime to Delhi's arrogance and abuse of power where every conversation starts with, "Janta nahi main kaun hun?" It is always about the people in power !!

Well it also shows the responsibility of the Media….its duty is not only to make the world aware abt various frauds n scams n corrupt ministers but also to safeguard d people of the nation and help in claimin justice for the innocent people….

One dialogue which i liked was “Someone with a pistol in his hand, power in his head, decided that a life was cheaper than a glass of drink”...it explains everything wat d curent scenario is !!

The narration is gripping, the music score uplifting, the screenplay tight enough to allow for very few slippages..

Overall, a brilliant movie and my heart goes out for Jessica lal and her fly for d struggle in achieving justice !!!
I will give it 8/10 and 10/10 for d justice !!!

Truth will always prevail no matter how big u are !!

The year it has been !! - Part 2

The new year started wit no internet connectivity for d entire day....:( so d delay in posting part 2 !!

in part 1 we came across various scams and the year end didnt disappoint us, we saw another scandal coming into picture - 'CitiBank' wer d manager of the Gurgaon branch Shivraj Puri allegedly siphoned off funds taken as investments from high net-worth individuals into his personal account and three of his accomplices. the size of the fraud could be about Rs 300 crore. Luking out for a year nw witout ny scams n frauds...Peace !!! We also saw the Aarushi murder case getting closed due to lack of proper evidence…dis one really shocked me !! d case which had been goin on for long wit lots of twists n turns had no real proper ending..

The year belonged to our Environmental Minister Jairam Ramesh…in news almost every day…frm objecting to sanctioning the clearance for the second airport in Navi Mumbai to taking a stand in the recently held global summit and the Lavasa chapter…his view of SUVs playing major role in pollution and taking a dig at the BMWs…the controversial minister of the year !!

Looking back it has been wuite a controversial year !!

Lets not forget d moments which made India proud specially from d sports point of view...

Watever happened before, CWG was a huge success and India showed de can b host to such big events…As said India finished in a strong 2nd position behind Australia – our best result for years !!! performance in the Asian Games also didn’t dissappoint us…some unknown individuals came into the spotlight with der sparkling performance and India finished wit der best position in the rankings and no of medals in d history !!

The highlight of the year was Vishwanathan Anand becoming World no 1 in Chess rankings…proudest moment so far in a sport which has seen India go frm strength to strength !! Also who can forget our Badminton ace Saina Nehwal who rose to No 2 ranking before slipping to 4 as on dec 23…she won a hattrick of major tournaments making India proud…Indian cricket team ended with no 1 test ranking after defeating South Africa at Durban…Anodr golden moment for the nation…

Finally we will see the likes of M.Schumacher,Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso racing in India…the mega event will happen in Oct 2011 at Delhi and to add to it the final awards ceremony nite will b held in Delhi…this surely will take the brand India to a new level….and speaking of F1, we saw M.Schumacher returning to F1 after 3 years but dissappointed his fans by finishing in a lowly 9th behind his team mate Nico Rosberg…Sebastein Vettel won the formula 1 championship wit everyone exclamating ‘the kid has done it’…the major point to be noted is vettel never really lead the standings the entire year…he was always in contention for d
championship but never lead the table till dat moment…truly a born winner !!

The biggest event of the year was the football world cup which saw the Spaniards winning it for the very 1st time…..the likes of Ronaldo,Rooney and Messi failed and a new star was born – Diego Forlan – the mighty Uruguyan…the play of Spaniards was much appreciated and much credit went to Barcelona FC…South Africa rose to the occasion n played d role of the perfect host..d world cup did contribute to some intersting headlines…French wer in news rite frm the initial stages of the world cup with many questioning even der participation…the team backed out of der training session bcoz Anelka was asked to go back to France…Italy the defending champions were knocked out of the world cup in the group stages itself…Maradona lead Argentina undefeated to the quarterfinal stage wer de wer knocked out by the Germans… d whole world cup was a unique experience !!

IPL-4 had its own share of controversies…Chennai Super Kings finally emerged as champions…England retained Ashes with an innings victory over the australians leading d series 2-1…Ricky Ponting’s captaincy has been questionned with many saying its hight time he retires from international cricket…the match fixing scandal invlolving the pakistani cricketers was a big issue…our very own Sharad Pawar was elected as the President of the ICC…

One thing everyone wud remember well wud b the Tiger Woods scandal…wats d count now??? 119 ?? which was soon followed by John Terry who bedded his teammate’s gf n den Rooney….oh just forget it…

Chelsea won the Barclays Premier League and Manchester United finished runners up….Inter Milan led by den coach Jose Mourinho won hat trick of titles – League cup,Serie A and the champions League…Barcelona wer crowned the La Liga champions…the year also saw Jose Mourinho joining Real Madrid…

In tennis, Rafael Nadal won 3 of the  4 major events of the year and saw Roger Federer’s dip in form…

Dat covers up a bit of wat happened over d year….some issues n events may still not b covered here but ders more in store for tmw….happy reading !!
